Conducted research focused on investigating magnetic behavior at the atomic scale. Primarily investigated the interaction between magnetic orientation coupled with crystalline displacement for use in next generation quantum computing processors and memory devices.Developed open-source code using C++ to create a micromagnetic-based magnetoelastic energy method. Designed an energy method that retains atomic-level accuracy while being scalable to larger length scales, making it one of the first atomic-to-continuum level bridges for magnetic modeling. Conducted rigorous testing and comparison with other magnetic solvers, including the widely used CUDA GPU-accelerated micromagnetic solver mumax, resulting in favorable performance comparisons. Hybridized computational concepts from both atomic spin dynamics and molecular dynamics to create a unique approach for modeling magnetic systems. Method is currently undergoing rigorous auditing and will be made available open source via GitHub once completed.
