ABOUT MATTHEW J.
I am a Principal Associate at Weightmans LLP and specialise in Commercial Property. I have over fifteen years\' experience in the legal sector with particular expertise in property acquisitions and disposals, lease transactions, landlord and tenant matters as well as lease extensions and collective enfranchisement under the Leasehold Reform Act and Leasehold Reform Housing and Urban Development Act. I also have a wealth of experience in the Heathcare Sector, acting on behalf of Pharmacists, GPs and Dentists. In 2018 I was appointed a Director of the Leeds Law Society to work with the society on LGBT+ issues and awareness. I served as the president of the Leeds Law Society from 20••••23 and was the first openly gay president in the society\'s history. Outside of work and my activities with Leeds Law Society, I am a member of Leeds Cosmopolitan Players and recently took to the stage as Lord Flashheart in its production of Blackadder. I also have an interest in architecture, fashion and photography as well as being a keen traveller and history enthusiast.
