ABOUT M. T. ODONNELL

I am founder and editor of Scotland Grows magazine, and the host and producer of Scotland Grows Show podcast - both dedicated platforms to celebrating real gardening in Scotland. I am also a freelance gardening writer, having written for Scotland on Sunday, The Herald on Sunday, The Guardian, The Evening Times, BBC Countryfile, and Kitchen Gardener amongst other national and local publications.I am Vice President of The Royal Caledonian Horticultural Society, Council member of the Scottish Gardeners’ Forum, member of the Gardening Media Guild, a Fieldworker for the horticultural charity Trellis, and I sit on the Strategic Planning Group for Scone Place Garden Fair and the Scottish Garden Design Competition, as well as having previously been a mentor in the RHS Schools\' mentorship programme. As a gardening speaker, I give talks to gardening clubs and horticultural societies locally, and nationally at horticultural conferences. With a background in marketing and events, I consult and support on garden events management. Host of the Scotland Grows Show, I also consult on podcasting as part of business strategy, offering 1-2-1 and small group workshops, as well as speaking at events on the power of podcasting. As a business and event speaker and host, I bring a wealth of lived business experience to your audience, event, or podcast, and am Vice President of the Professional Speaking Association Scotland West.
