ABOUT MATTHIJS VISSER

Matthijs Visser joined Advanis in 2002. His consulting experience has focused on a variety of industries ranging from technology to the tourism industry. He has extensive understanding of and experience using Web, CATI, IVR, and SMS based market research methods.During his initial years at Advanis, Matthijs worked on many one-time projects relating to consumer segments, brand management, concept testing, pricing strategy, product design, and line-up strategy. Throughout these projects he has proven strong capabilities in conceptualizing approaches to client problems, articulating defensible insights in comprehensible language, and putting client concerns into an appropriate business context.Over the the next decade, Matthijs focused on designing and leading large-scale, ongoing client / customer experience projects, including Net Promoter Score (NPS) and Voice of the Customer approaches, and sophisticated follow-up (Close the Loop) processes for disengaged customers. He has proven strong capabilities in designing and executing complicated, high-volume data collection methodologies and developing online reporting solutions to serve a large number of end-users. Most recently, Matthijs has increasingly been applying his skill and expertise in the public sector, advocating for innovative data collection techniques and reporting approaches to ensure stakeholders get the most out of their research. In recent years, Matthijs has led studies for Alberta Communications and Public Engagement; Alberta Advanced Education; Alberta Community and Social Services; Alberta Culture, Multiculturalism and Status of Women; Alberta Seniors and Housing; Alberta Gaming, Liquor, and Cannabis (AGLC); the Alberta Emergency Management Agency (AEMA); BC Stats; the Government of Ontario; The City of Calgary; the City of Edmonton; the City of Leduc; and the City of Winnipeg.Prior to joining Advanis, Matthijs worked for several research institutes, including the Institute for Research on Intercultural Cooperation (IRIC) and Globus, an expertise center for multidisciplinary research in the areas of globalization and sustainable development.
