About Michael Stefferson

I am a computational and theoretical physicist turned data scientist and machine learning engineer. I specialize in data analysis, machine learning, statistics, Monte Carlo simulations, and algorithm design. I develop in Python, but I have experience in other languages. I have over five years of experience in ML engineering, data engineering, DevOps, MLOps, and backend software engineering. I am passionate about productionizing ML in a repeatable, automated, and inspectable way. I consider myself a jack of all trades who has the skill set to tackle a wide array of problems that require creativity and ingenuity to solve. I am constantly learning and expanding my toolkit.Most projects require a team to work together to succeed. While I am self-motivated and can tackle independent projects, I also enjoy taking the lead on projects as well as supporting roles in a team, whatever the project needs to succeed.When I\'m not pecking at the keys, I am usually playing ultimate frisbee, fermenting foods, climbing, or playing music poorly.
