About Kristen Dolan
I work at the intersection of ethical leadership and organizational culture.Over the past decade, I’ve led and supported mission-driven organizations across roles ranging from program operations to executive leadership. That experience gave me a close, unfiltered view of how power, care, and accountability operate inside complex systems, especially when values, incentives, and human needs collide.My background includes formal training in nonprofit management and organizational communications, grounded in a B.S. in Psychology and a focus on how narrative, culture, and ethics shape behavior and public trust.Today, I write and speak about leadership, culture, and ethics in organizations of all kinds, using the nonprofit sector as a case study rather than a boundary. My work explores how systems shape behavior, how care can coexist with rigor, and what accountability looks like when it’s practiced, not performed.I’m currently developing a body of writing and talks that examine these themes in practice.
