As someone whose family has walked the devastating path of cancer, Kesem’s mission is personal. After losing my husband to cancer, I experienced firsthand how deeply it impacts not only the patient, but also the children who are left to navigate the chaos and grief.That’s why I’m honored to serve on Kesem’s National Board of Directors—an organization that provides free year-round support and life-changing camp experiences for children impacted by a parent’s cancer.In this role, I work alongside passionate leaders to expand Kesem’s reach, strengthen its programs, and ensure that no child has to face the heartbreak of a parent’s cancer alone. It’s not about perfection—it’s about community, connection, and creating hope in the middle of heartbreak.
