ABOUT MUHAMMAD SAAD

I am a Data Scientist with over 5 years of experience in developing machine learning projects. My expertise includes image processing, time-series analysis, and NLP. I have experience deploying machine learning models on cloud platforms such as AWS & Heroku using Flask and HTML. I am proficient in utilizing Python and its associated libraries such as Numpy, Pandas, Keras, Tensorflow, OpenCV and Sci-Kit Learn. Additionally, I am skilled in using SQL and PySpark for large datasets for analysis and data modelling.In my current role as a Data Scientist at Boston Consulting Group (BCG), I designed models that analyze the population migration across US to aid resource allocations throughout the country. I also streamlined code pipelines to enable scheduled code execution and created visualizations and proposals for case teams for different clients.Previously, at Loblaw Companies Limited, I restructured the zoning of stores of Shoppers Drug Mart, reducing the pricing complexity by 37%. I optimized the shelf products prices on the basis of consumer segmentation and supervised a pilot program to gauge its effectiveness. I also developed a Linear Mixed Model to determine the price elasticity of products using various external features.I hold a Master\'s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Waterloo, with a GPA of 3.90/4.00. I have published 7 conference papers in the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers illustrating the work I did in forecasting and interpolation of time series domain. I am passionate about machine learning and enjoy working on challenging projects that have real-world impact.
