About Yesha Joshi
Hi, I’m Yesha.I grew up on the lands of the Kaurna people, the custodians of the Adelaide region in the beautiful state of South Australia. I’ve always believed in being a strong advocate. Whether it was making history as the youngest woman of Indian heritage to run for state office in South Australia, or now leading national climate campaigns in the US, my work has always been about standing up for people and protecting our precious planet.Currently based in Washington, DC, I lead national campaigns across six states, mobilizing more than supporters to influence federal climate policy, my work has been highlighted in The New York Times.Previously, I served as Chief of Staff and Senior Advisor to a Greens state legislator, directing legislative strategy and advocacy across 20+ portfolios. I played a key role in securing landmark workplace safety laws by bringing unions and industry together and focusing on common ground. Having grown up by Australia’s pristine coastline and with strong ties to the wilderness areas in Gujarat, India, I feel deeply committed to protecting wild places. Outside of work, I get outdoors to hike as much as possible! If you’d like to know what it’s like to work with me, feel free to check out the references below.
