Currently I specialize in designing, implementing and managing Microsoft Windows, EMC and HP Storage, HP Bladechassis, VMware, Red Hat and Nagios solutions at a Roche site serving approximately users, within an infrastructure framework supporting users. A significant fraction of my duties involve infrastructure planning, upgrades, maintenance and third-tier troubleshooting. However, as you would expect while working in a government-regulated industry, I am no stranger to project-management, technical documentation, change-control and IT Quality Compliance. Most recently I have completed the following projects- installed and migrated a Dokuwiki site - I don\'t know how anyone can survive without somewhere to collect all their notes and information- implemented a business continuity solution to augment and split infrastructure between locations for redundancy and failover in an active-active configuration- upgraded to VMware vSphere 5.5 - implemented VMware Heartbeat - implemented VMware Site Recovery Manager to a VMware Heartbeat solution adds complexity, but is worth the additional benefits of VM and storage replication- implemented a TSM 7.1.1 backup solution, incorporating Tivoli Data Protector for Virtual Environments, Node Replication and Deduplication. Glued this all together with custom scripting for in-depth status reports on every backup job.
