Research fellowship dedicated to the use of 5-aminolevulinic acid (5-ALA) to be used for fluorescence-guided neurosurgery and photodynamic therapy in high-grade gliomas • Conducting systematic reviews to develop an assay for understanding the pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of 5-ALA • COperate SciEx: Triple Quad 4500 and Analyst Software to operate HPLC-MS to understand the chemical composition and chemical purities of PPIX, the metabolized form of 5-ALA • Observed 2 craniotomies using fluorescence-guided surgery to extract glioblastomas • Operated SciEx: Triple Quad 4500 and Anaylst Software to use HPLC-MS to determine the endogenous forms of PPIX found in human plasma • Co-authoring on re-evaluating the toxicology of belinostat for maximum therapeutic effects in Phase I trials
