ABOUT CRAIG TONKS

Craig Tonks is a Visual Effects Artist from London who specialises in creating generative artwork for a variety of mediums. Taking early inspiration from a wide range of Films, Books and Video Games his career started with a passion for photography that continues to this day and provides a real-world grounding to all his work. His career in Film has encompassed many different styles and sizes of work; including leading a team to Oscar winning work on Christopher Nolans “Interstellar” and creating high quality creatures for Gore Verbinskis “A Cure For Wellness”. Always taking on new creative challenges he has recently been pushing the use of Generative techniques in Virtual Reality at a leading VR studio, developing new creative paths and training other artists in the process. Alongside this he has launched a range of Art Prints that blend Photography and Visual Effects in creative ways, with a special edition range that utilises generative techniques to create one-off variations of the same piece. Passion and Ambition continues to push his work forward and he looks forward to taking on the next creative challenge.
