Support the care, documentation, and strategic management of a large and diverse social history collection within a complex open-air museum environment. • Contribute to the migration from legacy systems to Axiell Collections, supporting data cleaning, record reconciliation, and staff adaptation to new collections management workflows. • Undertake object handling, packing, movement, and storage across museum stores and historic buildings, applying preventative conservation principles and safe manual handling practices. • Support collections disposals in line with professional standards, contributing to research, documentation, and decision-making processes. • Assist in the recruitment, coordination, and support of collections volunteers, providing guidance, task planning, and supervision to ensure safe, productive, and mutually beneficial working. • Maintain ongoing professional development focused on collections care, risk management, and sector leadership, with consistent implementation across day-to-day museum practice, including IPM, emergency planning, and salvage preparedness. • Contribute to the Forging Ahead project, supporting collections research, documentation, and preparation in alignment with project aims and public outcomes. • Support exhibition changeovers and object installations, working collaboratively with curatorial, conservation, and technical teams in a live heritage environment. • Create and contribute to digital engagement content, including TikTok videos, supporting public-facing interpretation and widening access to collections and museum work. • Work within health and safety and risk assessment frameworks, recognising the additional operational complexities of an open-air museum site.
