My mentor in this business, or at least one of them, used to tell me his motto,\"Having fun when buying or selling!\" Of course I assumed this meant he entertained his clients well. I now understand completely it is the joy you experience side-by-side with your clients that is the REAL fun. To each of you not yet my clients I offer this free tip. Do not do this without a professional. Unless you are in the habit of visiting the Barber school college for your regular haircuts, then you are clearly a risk taker extraordinaire! So many times in our lives we insist on using a professional someone with training that knows what they are doing and has a support system to call on if needed. Why is it then that in Real Estate, the single largest investment of our lives, We try to cut corners and do things ourselves. I am married to a custom home builder, serve as the Executive Director in the construction industry, and I have been personally buying and selling real estate since 1998 and doing quite well. Now that I am officially licensed and partnered with a brokerage that promotes education, I can tell you unequivocally. the assistance and support of having a licensed REALTOR on your side is the ultimate insider tip to making the best deal possible!
