ABOUT MIRIAM ROMAIS
As the director of NewsLitNation at The News Literacy Project (NLP), I lead a nationwide network of educators who are passionate about promoting media and news literacy and civic engagement. With an MBA, a background in photography and photojournalism, experience in grant management, program evaluation and multiple certifications in leadership, fundraising and global brand marketing, I bring a unique blend of skills and perspectives to this role. I have more than 25 years of experience in the nonprofit sector, where I have excelled in community engagement, DEI initiatives, marketing, and strategy. I have also curated exhibitions, published journals, awarded and received grants and residencies. My mission is to help people succeed at what inspires them, boost others for success, and empower change for culturally diverse talents.
