About Matthew McCabe
A self-motivated technical program management leader, I have over 13 years of driving product delivery, developing robust technical processes, formulating effective strategies, and coordinating with cross-functional stakeholders. I have proven success in leading software engineering teams, product managers, and other staff to meet ambitious program milestones. I am known for my exceptional communication skills, engaging engineering teams and stakeholders to plan and execute programs within tight time and budget constraints. As Staff Technical Program Manager at HashiCorp, I played a pivotal role in designing and rolling out a comprehensive product lifecycle framework across engineering and product. This enabled HashiCorp to deliver the most critical cloud and self-managed product features that meet customer requirements. I led the critical customer engagement program, mitigating risks and capitalizing on opportunities by resolving high-profile customer escalations. I also provided guidance to junior technical program managers, delivering comprehensive training, and enablement artifacts. To boost the efficiency of HashiCorp\'s software development and increase visibility into product roadmaps and release status, I lead multiple process standardization efforts. This included spearheading the initiative to consolidate R&D software planning, execution, and delivery onto Jira, establishing 160 active projects and creating issues within the first 30 days. As a Technical Program Manager at Varo Bank, I delivered a state-of-the-art banking platform and optimized existing features by supporting several teams of front-end and back-end software engineers.I have consistently demonstrated my ability to craft and execute comprehensive company roadmaps, direct cross-functional scrum teams, and revamp agile development processes to achieve exceptional outcomes. I also co-founded a successful hackerspace in Austin, Texas, where I steered the organization through its critical formation and initial growth phase. I created bylaws, formed a board, negotiated leases and contracts, and devised innovative event and social media strategies to ensure the space\'s profitability and self-sustainability.I have honed a unique skillset, including software engineering, program planning, cloud and data technologies, and creative problem-solving. I am a passionate individual who thrives on tackling complex challenges and delivering exceptional results. Engineering Program Manager
Jun 2024 — Present · San Francisco, CA, US
I am currently the Engineering Program Manager for Learn on the Web (adobe.com/learn) which supports 2.1M unique monthly visitors. In this role, I led the migration of the Learn platform from creativecloud.adobe.com/learn to adobe.com/learn, including over 70K individual webpages. This resulted in consistent branding, better SEO, and improved performance on the Learn site. Also, working the Education group, I supported the launch of the Adobe Digital Academy on Learn. This initiative provides customers with short micro-credentialed courses which teach career skills such as AI literacy, content creation, and digital marketing. Another initiative I launched was to support Learn at Adobe MAX 2024. To support MAX, we redesigned the home and catalog pages and featured Miami creators on the Learn website. This lead to increased engagement with Learn offerings at the conference as well as offline engagement of customers attending virtually. My current focus is on a variety of initiatives including continuing to improve the performance of Learn on the Web, usability improvements, adding additional functionality for the Education group, and migrating content from other Adobe properties to adobe.com/learn.
