ABOUT ALEX LEATHERWOOD
Hello! I am currently an Ohio University senior majoring in Management Information Systems (MIS), Business Analytics, and Marketing. While also minoring in finance and obtaining a certificate in sports analytics. Growing up I had always been obsessed with stats, fun facts, and numbers. From keeping track of gas prices from all our family vacations to memorizing specific numbers in Guinness World Records 2010, I couldn\'t get enough. I always saw this obsession as a hobby or a part of my identity, not as something I could do professionally. It wasn\'t until I began taking statistics classes in college I realized thier were jobs dedicated to finding these stats, fun facts, and numbers and making them insightful. Since then I have went all on honing in my data analytics skill set. From going above and beyond in my coursework, to working part time jobs and internships relating to IT and analytics, to getting leadership positions and working on projects in student organizations like Information Systems and Analytics Professionals (ISAP) and the Ohio Sports Analytics Team (OSAT).
