ABOUT CHRISTOPHER VAN NIEKERK
My passion for working with artists stems from having been one myself. That gives me a strong insight into the creative experience from the artist’s point of view. Above all else I am in love with music, discovering and working with new artists, finding the uniqueness and details in their sound and then the process of bringing the best out of it. Artists and clients I have worked with include Jackson Dyer, Emmae, Daniel Arruda, Mercedes-Benz, Ard Matthews, Niila, Jim Kroft, ADEN x OLSON, DNKL, Livingston, The Tunics, Beyond All Recognition, Modig, MNRS, FastLane Film and more. I was privileged to develop my craft as a mixer and producer working with and learning from my favourite producers, people I consider legends in the field. My career in music began as recording artist, co-writer and later producer and mixer in the band Livingston. Together we achieved numerous successes including Top 20 in the German Sales Charts, Number 1 on Amazon & iTunes Rock Charts as well as iTunes Newcomer Album of the Year. Official song for German national broadcaster ZDF during the winter Olympics, top ten in both EAC (European Alternative Charts) and the German Indy-Alternative Club Charts. Our music has been featured in numerous TV shows/series worldwide as well as having the feature film soundtrack in the international blockbuster “Chalet Girl” as well as the remake of “The Man Who Was Thursday”.
