Driven by perseverance and a deep commitment to my family, I built a rewarding career in the medical devices and scientific instruments industry, recognized for decisive leadership and effective problem-solving in complex environments.I’ve been fortunate to work alongside exceptional mentors and teams who shaped both my professional growth and leadership style. I remain deeply grateful to Biomedical Engineering Professor Bruce Reid, whose guidance laid the foundation for my career, and to mentor Avi Farbstein, whose insight and counsel were instrumental in my long-term success and ability to support my family.I’m equally appreciative of the talented colleagues and my leadership teams at Alcon and Thermo Fisher Scientific, with special recognition to Chris Scherter, who stood by me through the challenges and triumphs of our careers together. I take particular pride in collaborative work across organizations and disciplines, including engagements with Johns Hopkins’ Biomedical Engineering department, contributions to the Lumenis merger, Alcon’s VGH WaveLight installations, and the successful revamp of Thermo Fisher’s call center operations. These experiences reinforced the value of teamwork, adaptability, and thoughtful leadership.After a fulfilling career, I was fortunate to retire early and shift my focus toward long-held personal goals and new adventures. I now spend my time aboard my 2018 Antares sailing catamaran, Ohana, embracing exploration, learning, and the freedom of this next chapter.My story reflects adaptability, gratitude, and an enduring passion for growth—whether in the boardroom or offshore.    As I prepare for my upcoming sailing adventure, I\'ve taken on an exciting role at the local dive shop—a place that holds special significance, as my late wife was once a highly respected PADI Instructor there. This opportunity allows me to work in a relaxed and inspiring environment alongside experienced PADI Instructors, sharing the thrill of underwater exploration.In this role, I collaborate with esteemed institutions, including the Ocean City Beach Patrol, the US Naval Academy, Salisbury State College, St. Mary\'s College, and Western Maryland College, supporting their diving programs.An invaluable aspect of this role is the opportunity to learn directly from John Kiser, a PADI Course Director and Examiner. Renowned for certifying more Open Water students than any other PADI Instructor globally, his mentorship is invaluable.
