About Chris Wood
My truest passion lies in helping individuals. I have been fortunate to work in both secondary and post secondary roles. My goals have been to provide direct assistance to those in need. In life my purpose is to make a positive difference in someone\'s life, each and every day. My experience has afforded me the opportunity to keep doing that through a variety roles. Recently (July 2019) I was given the opportunity to transition roles from a position I adored (School Counselor) to a new position that allows me to further in my desire of helping students prepare for their post secondary aspirations and purpose with an outstanding organization within the Cedar Falls School District, the Center for Advance Professional Studies (CAPS)Regardless of my role, my motivation has not changed. I will continue to strive to help every young adult identify their passion and connect it to a post secondary intention that puts them in a position to be not only successful in life but a contributing member to society. Today more than ever, our young adults need purpose instilled in to every decision they make, especially their post secondary decisions.
