About Melissa Caruso
Melissa Caruso is the Southeast Market Leader for NOVA Engineering and Environmental. Melissa has over 30 years of experience in operational leadership and driving strategic business growth. In 2021, Melissa joined NOVA to champion growth in the transportation, aviation, and space market sectors across the state of Florida, a role that has now expanded to the Southeast. Her primary focus is to identify, develop, and maintain key partner relationships and oversee the capture planning, teaming, proposal development, and oversight of post-award deliverables for strategic, design-build, or alternative delivery projects. She is currently the Project Coordinator on three Design-Build projects across the Southeast - two transportation and one vertical project.Melissa is passionate about giving back to both the industry and the community. She is a graduate of Leadership Orlando, a Boys and Girls Club of Central Florida Faces of the Future Giving Society member, an ambassador for TEAMFL, and an active member of FAC, FES, ASHE, and DBIA. Melissa currently serves as the DBIA FL Region Treasurer. She previously served as the Region\'s Membership Chair and is also actively involved in the Transportation and Vertical Market Committees.Melissa graduated Summa Cum Laude from both Robert Morris University with a BS in Organizational Leadership and Douglas School of Business with an AS in Business Administration/Accounting. Melissa is a resident of Osceola County and a lover of the outdoors. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, where you will find her hiking, biking, and kayaking with her husband, Chris, or spending time with their blended family of six (5 daughters and 1 lucky son), and one precious feline, Summer.
