PAARI is a national nonprofit supporting law enforcement agencies to implement deflection and pre-arrest diversion programs, connecting individuals with substance use disorders to treatment and recovery services as an alternative to incarceration.Key Responsibilities: • Direct Client Advocacy: Provide immediate support and resource navigation for individuals entering treatment through police deflection programs, ensuring seamless access to detox, MAT, and recovery housing • Law Enforcement Partnership: Serve as primary liaison between PAARI and partner police departments, training officers on trauma-informed approaches and building trust-based referral systems • Community Resource Coordination: Cultivate and maintain network of 20+ treatment providers, peer recovery centers, and social service agencies to create comprehensive care pathways • Crisis Response: Deploy to post-overdose outreach within 24-72 hours, conducting field-based interventions and family support coordination • Data & Documentation: Track client engagement, treatment initiation rates, and outcomes for grant compliance and program evaluation • Peer Support Integration: Incorporate lived experience perspective to reduce stigma and model recovery possibilities for program participants
