ABOUT MARIO CHRISTINER
I\'m a global citizen that\'s had the opportunity to live in 5 different countries. My international journey helped me discover my passion to bring people together to create a sustainable future for all to enjoy. My initial dream was to bring solar energy to rural parts of the world. This motivated me to study electrical engineering with a focus in solar and renewable energy. Halfway through my Masters I realized that I wanted to tackle global challenges from a social lens. Shortly after I moved to Barcelona to find inspiration and after some job exploration transitioned into education and curriculum development. Before moving to Canada I discovered the UN\'s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which re-ignited my passion for sustainability. When I realized the gaps in education and careers I launched my own startup Thrive, which guided and recruited aspiring talent to career in sustainability. After four years of dedication to my startup and after some self-reflection I decided to move on. I do still support a few professionals 1-on-1 each month with my sustainability career service. Message me if you\'d like to learn more. Reflecting on my startup experience made me realize that we as a society must urgently come together to reduce and ideally eliminate climate change. Now my mission is to find the most effective ways to inspire people by the thousands to ditch their cars and switch to sustainable transportation alternatives.
