ABOUT RICHARD MORRISON

I earn my living making computers do things, mostly on the internet. My main experience is as a full-stack engineer, although I currently work as a data engineer using high rate robotic telemetry. My strengths lie in architecture and technical communication: I improve teams by leading by example and responding rationally to technical and business demands. I adapt and learn quickly, earning praise for my clear presentation, enthusiasm and breadth of understanding.I love technology, especially software and web applications - designing and building things, programming, explaining. My experience includes developing intranet applications for oil majors; freelance web programming; webmaster duties; running a business-critical data platform for surgical robots on AWS and the sorts of things you do in green text on a black background on a Linux server, although I don\'t consider myself a sysadmin.I\'ve developed and given training courses and presentations, sold software to coffee shops and oil refineries, written my own web apps with paying customers and set up my own company to work for some of the time.Specialties: Explaining technology.
