About Mowaz Alvi
Hello! I am Mowaz Alvi, a junior at the University of Rochester. I am on the public health track, with my major being Health, Behavior, and Society with an interest of doing a Statistics/Computer Science minor. I am extremely interested in learning about global health inequities, understanding the psychological and societal mechanisms that affect human behavior, and breakthroughs in understanding health and disease. My academic passions are driven by my love for public health, with my previous coursework consisting of biology, statistics, epidemiology, behavioral medicine, and global health. I hope to continue exploring these new fields, and continue my education and tie it in with my career passions. If I had to see myself in the next 10 years, it would be getting my PhD in Public Health and being a FNP, with an emphasis on Nutrition, concurrently working in a clinical setting focusing on Internal Medicine
