Project Medical Referent – SRH & Adolescent HealthMédecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders) San Pedro Sula, Honduras | Dec 2024 – PresentAs Project Medical Referent, I lead the medical strategy and technical oversight of Médecins Sans Frontières’ integrated SRH program in San Pedro Sula, with a particular focus on adolescent health, sexual violence response, and key population inclusion.Key Responsibilities: Medical Leadership: Directed overall medical activities across clinics and outreach sites, ensuring alignment with MSF protocols and MoH standards for SRH and HIV prevention. Adolescent & Youth SRH: Developed and implemented youth-friendly services in collaboration with school-based and community partners, focusing on access to contraception, STI screening, and psychosocial support. Sexual Violence & Crisis Response: Supervised and trained clinical teams on survivor-centered care, PEP, emergency contraception, and medico-legal documentation for survivors of sexual and gender-based violence.🧑🤝🧑 Community Engagement & Inclusion: Facilitated health promotion activities with LGBTIQ+ groups, peer educators, and youth leaders to increase uptake of SRH services. Data & Quality Monitoring: Oversaw clinical data collection, reporting, and quality improvement initiatives; contributed to monitoring & evaluation (M&E) of SRH outcomes and adolescent care indicators.🤝 Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborated with the Ministry of Health, UN agencies, and local NGOs to support SRH advocacy, capacity building, and health systems strengthening. Research Support: Contributed to operational research and innovative programming, including MSF’s CAB-LA/Lenacapavir pilot and adolescent consent protocols.
