ABOUT MOUNA MUKHERJEE

Mouna is a postgraduate student in Sociology at the D-School. She has been the recipient of JWS Fellowship by Bridgewater State University and is a member of the Queen\'s Commonwealth Trust. She holds multiple admission offers from prestigious universities like SOAS London, UNSW, University of British Columbia, University of Sydney and University of Melbourne for pursuit of graduate studies. She identifies as an intersectional feminist; graduated with a major in Sociology, minors in Women Studies and Political Science from the University of Calcutta. She has been a \' She Creates Change\' fellow and served as the President of Social Impact Council, WICCI, West Bengal briefly. Mouna had assisted several nonprofit organizations with projects around policy formations and helped with evaluations as well as grant approvals. She takes interest around gender rights; reproductive and sexual health; feminist pedagogy and social policy. She has led a digital guide wing assistance for those affected with Covid-19 in the second wave of pandemic around the suburbs of Calcutta. Mouna is driven by a deep-rooted curiosity about society and a commitment to fostering positive change. Her academic journey has provided her with robust theoretical foundations, while her diverse internships in the development sector have given her practical insights and hands-on experience in addressing real-world issues. She has been recommended positively for organizational management and creative faculty. Occasionally, she publishes write ups on Youth ki Awaaz, The Quint and the Medium.
