About Mostafizur Rahaman
I am a Research Scientist at IBM Quantum, working on quantum algorithms design, and implementation on near-term quantum hardware (100+ qubit machines). Currently, I am working on quantum diagonalization problems (such as ground state estimation, phase correlation etc.), quantum time series forecasting (analytical model, QRC, and PQC), and quantum-assisted communications. Our research article are published in Top-tier journals including Nature Scientific Reports and Transactions. Beyond research, I am honoured to part of India\'s national quantum mission (NQM) effort. I serve as an Industry Expert and Mentor in India and APAC regions, and have delivered faculty development lecture series across 15+ premier institutions including MNIT Jaipur, IIT Kanpur, IIT Guwahati, and IIT Roorkee, IIT Ropar in collaboration with AICTE and IBM. I am also a visiting scientist at RIKEN, Japan, and an adjunct fellow at S. N. Bose National Centre for Basic Sciences, Kolkata. We co-authored a book \'Ket Zero and Ket One\', an introductory text on quantum computing for everyone.I was a recipient of the Prime Minister\'s Research Fellowship (PMRF) during my PhD, and received IBM Research Distinguished Paper Award (2024).
