As a QA Engineer specialising in Defence, I have been responsible for maintaining and enhancing an automation suite using Selenium, C#, SpecFlow, and Azure DevOps. This suite serves as a crucial component in the testing process. My daily tasks include checking the results of nightly test runs and promptly addressing any failures. I achieve this by updating existing tests or creating defect reports as necessary.The application includes geospatial aspects with an ESRI backend, I utilize ArcMap for testing these components. This involves ensuring that geospatial features and functionalities are rigorously tested for accuracy and reliability.In addition to maintaining the automation suite, I have taken charge of managing User Acceptance Testing (UAT). This involved creating a comprehensive UAT plan and approach that outlined the testing strategy. Furthermore, I developed a test pack to guide users through the validation of various workflows.To ensure a smooth testing process, I engage in daily communication with users. This allows me to address any concerns, answer queries, and facilitate efficient testing. I am also responsible for reporting any defects discovered during UAT back to the development team.Overall, my work encompasses maintaining an automation suite, managing UAT, serving as a point of contact for users, ensuring efficient and effective testing processes and ensuring the reliability of the application\'s geospatial functionalities.
