As a Survey Associate for the sub-Saharan Africa region, I coordinate the data collection for the 2021 Global Survey of School Meals Programs in 14 countries - Sierra Leone, Nigeria, Rwanda, The Gambia, Seychelles, Somalia, Sudan, Ethiopia, Liberia, Cameroon, Kenya, South Sudan, Eritrea, and Ghana. • Facilitated 2 workshop sessions at the Global Child Nutrition Forum in Osaka, Japan, with over 400 participants from 84 countries, focusing on how countries can utilize the Global Survey report to improve school meal programs. Led discussions, provided insights, and guided participants in applying survey findings to enhance policy, program implementation, and impact at the national level.• Successfully coordinated and navigated complex educational systems, school administrative structures, and government bureaucracies in 14 African countries to coordinate data collection for the Global Survey of School Meals Programs (2021 and 2024). This school feeding surveillance effort contributed to improved programming for countries. Analyzed the data and co-authored a published article on the findings from Africa, which have contributed to the development of national public health policies for school feeding in the region.• Moderated two workshop/training sessions on “new tools and methods for measuring the quality of school meals for improved diets and nutrition,” involving 44 country focal points• Led advocacy efforts aimed at mobilizing resources and generating awareness on using school feeding programs to address the rising rates of child obesity in Africa by my presentation on the 2023 African Food Environment Research Network Meeting in November 2023• Published a scientific journal article on \"Regional Results From the 2019 Global Survey of School Meal Programs\" from 41 countries, which continues to guide policy formulation and resource mobilization for school meal programs across Africa. https://gcnf.org/survey/
