   Research Scholar for the Computational Medicine Laboratory. Working on MATLAB code for blind system identification and deconvolution of sparse signals. https://wp.nyu.edu/cml/Updated the laboratory’s MATLAB codebase, implementing novel techniques in system identification literature and compressed sensing, improving an overnight routine 1,500x to run in real-time. Researched endogenous glucose dynamics to form a constrained physiological state-space model.Wrote highly compute and memory efficient libraries to construct the lifted input-output operators for any high sample, high state dimension, multi-input, multi-output state-space model.Compartmentalized nonconvex optimization functions to solve minimally required computations in a coordinate descent loop alternating between system identification and deconvolution.Implemented the FOCUSS algorithm, an iteratively reweighted least squares approach, and Generalized Cross Validation, to calculate regularization parameters, with sparse linear algebra techniques.Validated my system with rigorous mathematical proof, comprehensive instrumentation, comparisons to prior accepted results and coordination with peers to ensure alignment, in methodology and intentions.
