ABOUT MOSES AREVALO

One month out of college, with a Mechanical Engineering degree in hand, I found myself holding a mop- I was a custodian. At first, it was difficult for me to accept that after all the hard work I had done in college, I still ended up there. I wasn\'t using ODEs or PDEs to solve the world\'s problems, nor was I using my in-depth knowledge of Heat Transfer or Mechanics of Materials to develop something incredible. I was picking up trash and making sure the bathrooms were properly stocked with toilet paper.If I\'ve learned anything from being on this Earth, it\'s that life doesn\'t always give you lemons. Sometimes it gives you dirt, or in my case, cleaning supplies. It is up to you to figure out what you\'re going to do with it. Instead of complaining and wishing that I was anywhere else but there, I took it as a challenge. I focused on being the best that I could be, no matter what the situation. From that experience, a hunger grew inside of me- a hunger to always work hard, learn as much as I can, and to grow both personally and professionally. You might not always know where life will lead you, or what difficulties it\'ll throw your way, but don\'t give up hope! Stand tall, and rise to the challenge! ¡Ánimo!
