ABOUT MORVEN MACKENZIE

I\'m a highly driven business and charity sector leader with a long-standing passion for Aberdeen’s communities and for creating positive, sustainable social impact.For the past 2.5 years, I’ve held the role of Head of Strategy at All Life Chances, leading the development and implementation of the charity’s overarching strategic direction. In this role, I work closely with local charities, community groups, and centres across Aberdeen’s priority neighbourhoods, building strong, productive partnerships and connecting organisations, funders, and stakeholders.A core part of my work involves raising significant funds to support community-led programmes and services, alongside setting and delivering high-profile marketing and communications campaigns that have increased visibility, engagement, and support for both All Life Chances and the wider third sector. I’m particularly experienced in aligning strategy, storytelling, and stakeholder engagement to achieve measurable outcomes.Before moving into the charity sector, I spent over 27 years in the creative industries, primarily in senior agency leadership roles. I founded and grew my own PR consultancy before successfully overseeing its merger with an Aberdeen-based advertising agency to create one of the region’s leading integrated marketing businesses. I later led Hampton, an established creative agency, growing the business year on year and delivering strategic campaigns across multiple sectors.Alongside my professional career, I’ve maintained a strong commitment to voluntary and community leadership. I founded Celebrate Aberdeen, a community initiative that now delivers two of the city’s most high-profile charity events. Celebrate Aberdeen was proud to be recognised with the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service. I’ve also organised numerous fundraising dinners and was instrumental in creating the Doddie Aid North & Midlands team, which won the event five years in a row, before taking on the voluntary role of Scotland Co-Manager when the campaign changed format.I’m honoured to serve as a Deputy Lieutenant and a Burgess of the City, and in 2025 I was recognised with the Denis Law RGU+ Award for my commitment to community.Outside of work, I’m passionate about sport. A former competitive swimmer, I now enjoy football and rugby from the sidelines.I bring energy, focus, and a strong sense of purpose to everything I do, whether developing strategy, leading teams, building partnerships, or championing communities.
