I am proud to volunteer my experience to NVAA as a member of the Board of Directors grateful to the membership for entrusting me to lead them as their President.Create a thriving environment for the organization that provides training, advocacy, and networking opportunities for landlords and vendors in the Northern Virginia area. Increasing belonging and engagement for our members while creating value. Served as chair of the education committee and also served on the legislative, special events, and budget committees. Increased member engagement and event participation to record or near record attendance at most events and trainings including all major events in 2023 and first quarter 2024. Instituted a new budgeting process to include a budget committee which is resulting in current budget surplus and membership budget financial goals achieved prior to the close of the fiscal year. Strategizing with both the board and Executive Director to increase membership, restructure legislative commitment, increase board engagement and accountability, and create a strategic plan for the growth and success of the association.
