She has advised partner organizations across academia, federal laboratories, and the private sector, and has operated programs that support the spinout of early-stage ventures in quantum and optics, biotechnology, aerospace, and defense.Morgan holds a B.S. in Human Biology and an MBA from the University of Montana. Early in her career, she worked at the National Institutes of Health Rocky Mountain Laboratory, where she contributed to virology research that laid the groundwork for eventual development of a Zika virus vaccine aimed at preventing fetal microcephaly. In a later role, Morgan codeveloped a silk-based transdermal drug delivery platform for combat and burn patients, working with clinicians and other end users throughout the development. Both experiences solidified her lifelong interest in translating scientific discovery into public impact.Her leadership record includes serving on the advisory board of the Montana Biotechnology Center, where she supports researchers and emerging technology founders with technology validation and commercialization, while also working to expand access to technology transfer education for Montana students.
