About Morgan Rohbock
In late 2020, I joined Shell\'s Lubricants business in Supply Planning & Optimization. Within this role, I work to find value opportunities that production and transportation costs, support the delivery of new projects and new business, and identify potential supply constraints with recommended solutions through the S & OP process. Through this work, I have been able to create new innovative dashboards that provide an easy way to assess the current health of the Lubricants supply chain. Since 2023, I have been the Strategy and Performance Manager, sitting on the Lubricants Americas Supply Chain leadership team. This role catapulted me from data and modeling analyst to strategic advising, looking at how our business is performing and working on key workstreams and projects to take our business to the next level from digitalization to capability to transformation with many important stakeholders across the Lubricants business. My diverse experiences across Shell have shaped me into a leader who helps our teams perform and succeed. For three years prior, I have worked as an process engineer and refinery economist at Shell\'s Norco refinery and chemical plant. At Norco, I worked to support the alkylation and hydrotreating units operations as an engineer and used my analytical skills to support optimized refinery performance as an economist. These roles provided me a view of how unit operations impacted the refinery\'s P&L and how the energy supply chain impacts these businesses. Prior to joining Norco, I worked as an internal consultant for all Shell production facilities focused on margin optimization including LP modeling, plant scheduling support and hydrocarbon mass balance investigations. I am adept at synthesizing and utilizing data to help spur business decisions & support optimal unit operations when analyzing opportunities for new technology or other process changes. In May 2015, I graduated from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a degree in chemical engineering. As a student, I developed my strengths as a leader, capable of providing direction and alignment for diverse teams to achieve a common goal by helping found and lead a technical-based consulting group for students named CUBE Consulting. These opportunities as a professional and a student have demonstrated my ability under pressure, excel working in teams and rise to the challenge of learning new businesses and finding new ways to optimize and capture value through modeling and data analytics that drive efficiency and improvement.
