About Morgan Ward

I handle a wide variety of business litigation matters, including all types of business contract disputes, commercial lease litigation, real estate litigation, and insurance disputes, among others. I also enjoy representing clients in trust and estate litigation, a growing area of my practice. In all of my matters, I look to achieve efficient, business-like resolution through negotiation or mediation, but am always prepared to argue every matter in court or arbitration when necessary. Within the past several years, I led a team that defeated claims brought against another law firm by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) for alleged violations of RESPA. I am proud to say that Stites & Harbison is one of the few law firms in the country to have obtained a victory in court against the CFPB. I am involved in the community in a number of ways, having been appointed by Louisville\'s Mayor to serve as Chair of the Historic Landmarks and Preservation Districts Commission, and by Kentucky\'s Governor to serve as a member of the Kentucky Personnel Board. I am also a board member of the Legal Aid Society, where serve on the board\'s executive committee. I regularly accept pro bono engagements on behalf of clients of Legal Aid.
