About Morgan Ramsey
Data. The world is drowning in data.We need people who can make sense of that data and use it.During my Bachelor\'s studies at the University of Washington I studied Applied and Computational Math Sciences, specifically focusing on discrete math and algorithms. These studies, as well as my minors in math and applied math, have given me a solid foundation for my professional focus - Information Management and Analytics. After graduating and joining the workforce at Slalom in 2013, I have devoted myself to learning about the Business Intelligence industry, namely data warehousing and data modeling. I have a strong background in SQL, SSIS, python ETL, Microsoft Cosmos and some experience with Actian Matrix. I have also worked with AWS RDS, Redshift, Heroku Postgresql, Tableau and Power BI. I have worked on large teams and small teams, and have ample experience with agile methodologies (namely Kanban and SCRUM). I believe that utilizing agile methodologies in tandem with BI is crucial to show incremental progress and maintain a highly adaptable environment, as business rules frequently change.
