As a trainee in the South Carolina Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (SC LEND) program at MUSC, I am engaged in interdisciplinary training focused on improving the health and quality of life for individuals with neurodevelopmental disabilities. This prestigious program allows me to collaborate with professionals across various disciplines, including healthcare, education, psychology, and public health.Through SC LEND, I participate in leadership development, clinical training, and research opportunities. I am passionate about enhancing my knowledge and skills in neurodevelopmental disabilities, advocating for individuals and families, and contributing to efforts to reduce health disparities and promote inclusion. This experience is helping me grow as both a leader and an advocate in the field of neurodevelopmental disabilities. I will gain career exploration in the summer term, shadowing professionals of all disciplines of psychology within Prisma Hospital.
