London, GB

As Executive Director of FOLU, I lead a global coalition working to transform food and land use systems to deliver better outcomes for people, nature, and climate. I oversee strategy, partnerships, and advocacy across our international platform and country networks, driving collective action to achieve healthy diets, scale productive and regenerative agriculture, protect and restore nature and reduce food loss and waste, whilst ensuring thriving livelihoods. My role focuses on connecting high-level policy ambition with grounded implementation—mobilizing political leadership, financing, and cross-sector collaboration to accelerate systems change. I work closely with governments, civil society, research institutions, and business leaders to shape national pathways, unlock investment, and influence global agendas, from COP to UN Food Systems processes. At FOLU, we believe the transformation of food and land use systems is one of the most powerful levers we have for a just, sustainable future—and we work every day to make that vision real.

ABOUT MORGAN GILLESPY

I’m a global sustainability and systems transformation leader with over 15 years of experience shaping solutions across food, land, and water. As Executive Director of the Food and Land Use Coalition (FOLU), I lead a global alliance working across seven countries to advance regenerative, nature-positive food and land use systems. My work sits at the intersection of public policy, private finance, and local impact—focused on building collaborative strategies that deliver tangible outcomes for people, nature, and climate.Much of my career has centred on helping institutions turn ambition into implementation. At FOLU, that has meant working across diverse partners to align strategy, governance, and delivery for impact on the ground. Earlier, at CDP, I led global programmes on forests and water security, strengthening how companies and investors understand and act on environmental risk. These experiences have shaped my conviction that meaningful progress depends on partnership, evidence, and practical innovation.I’m energised by connecting ideas with action—bridging science, policy, and finance to make systemic change both achievable and lasting. Above all, I believe transformation happens when people work across silos, sectors, and geographies to build solutions that are ambitious yet grounded, and capable of creating a just, nature-positive and climate-resilient future.Specialties: Food systems transformation • Land use change • Sustainable agriculture • Nature and climate strategy • Water stewardship • Sustainable finance • Corporate disclosure • Regenerative value chains • Forests and freshwater systems • Systems thinking • Cross-sector partnerships
