ABOUT MORGAN GAYDOS
Morgan Gaydos, LCAT, ATR-BC, is a Board Certified and New York State Licensed Art Therapist who serves as the current Program Director and an Assistant Adjunct Professor for Hofstra University’s Creative Arts Therapy and Counseling program. Additionally, Ms. Gaydos practices art therapy on an inpatient child/adolescent mental health unit at NuHealth/Nassau University Medical Center and utilizes a variety of foundational theories within the creative process. Past clinical work includes forensic psychiatry, substance use, and personality disorders within mental health. Ms. Gaydos’ research efforts/publications focus more on medical art therapy, and she is the co-editor of the book Art and Expressive Therapies Within the Medical Model: Clinical Applications. As an active member of a research team, she has been a part of national and international art therapy research publications, as well as conference presentations. Ms. Gaydos\' past and present research endeavors focus on art therapy with Parkinson\'s disease, neuroscience, neurofeedback, cancer, and the veteran population.
