ABOUT MORGAN FOX
I currently serve as a Deputy District Attorney in Jefferson County. I review all assigned cases, negotiate plea offers, conduct legal research and aid criminal investigations, and file and argue motions as well as jury trials on behalf of the state of Colorado. During my legal studies, I have gained substantive legal experience in a wide range of positions. I spent the summer after my 1L year as an intern with SM Energy\'s in-house legal team. I edited and drafted contracts, reviewed lease agreements, conducted legal research regarding land and mineral rights, and observed negotiations. The following semester I obtained a position as a legal intern with Judge Roberto Ramirez. As an intern on a domestic docket, I attended hearings, conducted legal research on unique property matters, and drafted orders. I then spent a year serving as an intern with the Denver District Attorney\'s office. I spent time with the Gang Unit, Family Violence Unit, and, under the Student Practice Act, was full-time during the fall semester of my 3L year with the County Court division. I drafted motions, prepared and conveyed plea offers, conducted motions hearing as well as both a bench trial and a jury trial. Prior to law school, I spent over two years employed as a Department Director for the Jewish Community Center of Houston. I oversaw all aspects of the department from hiring, training, and managing a year round staff of 25 and seasonal staff of over 100, to program development through implementation. Additionally, I oversaw the budget, marketing, and enforce safety and compliance as set forth by the Department of Health and Human Services, the ADA, and OSHA. I graduated cum laude from Texas A&M in 2012 with a degree nutritional sciences. During my undergraduate studies, I was selected to participate in the Agricultural and Natural Resources Policy Internship Program. As a part of this program, I spent a semester interning for congress. I attended and reviewed issues at many committee hearings, composed recommendations for the Congressman, and drafted letters to constituents and other offices on behalf of the Congressman.
