ABOUT MORAG THOMAS

As COO of Waterside Pharmaceuticals in Aberdeenshire, I\'m dedicated to bridging the UK\'s medicinal cannabis supply gap. Our Total Controlled Environment Agriculture (TCEA) facility is poised to deliver high-quality products, and we’re excited about the potential ahead. My career spans project management, live events, quality assurance, and operations across various sectors. I began my journey in QA/QC, transitioned to managing exhibitions, and honed my skills in supply analysis at CEVA Logistics for the Volkswagen Group and developed them further at MAN Energy.I spent six impactful years at BrewDog, where I supported the installation of major expansions and led the supply chain team in launching a large distribution centre. My efforts contributed to a tenfold increase in business output, and I also gained valuable experience in hop forecasting and purchasing, connecting with growers in Yakima. With a commitment to continuous learning, I’ve studied accounting, business leadership, and pharmaceutical regulations. I’m passionate about cultivating and manufacturing cannabis ethically and sustainably, ensuring consistent quality while supporting the local Scottish economy. On a lighter note, I’m a Certified Cicerone, bringing my sensory skills from the beer industry to explore terpenes and their therapeutic potential in medicinal cannabis.
