Originally trained as a Biochemist I completed my PhD, Cytochrome P450 expression in normal and neoplastic human brain, from the University of Aberdeen in Since arriving at RGU (2004) I have proactively advanced my diverse and defined roles and responsibilities within the School of Pharmacy and Life sciences (PALS) and university. Particularly, rewarding as a Senior Fellow of the HEA and Aurora role model I have taken the opportunity where possible, to engage and enhance staff and student educational aspirations. In my spare time, I am a past president of the Aberdeen club of Soroptimist International Great Britain and Ireland and past Vice Chair of the Soroptimist Housing association I am currect deligate to Scotland North Region \"Soroptimist International is a global volunteer movement working together to transform the lives of women and girls with nearly Members in 124 countries.\" More recently, I was honoured to be admitted as a Burgess of Guild for the city of Aberdeen in February 2022.
