About Stéphany Moore
My training as a classical musician taught me to value attendance, hard work, and perseverance, skills which allowed me to succeed in my studies while working long weekend shifts in customer service. Other factors that contributed to my success are my passion for mechanical engineering and an affinity for challenges. I have always wanted to contribute to society and improve the well-being of others. Mechanical engineering gives me the opportunity to do just that.I see every issue on a project as an opportunity to find new solutions. My project with the Canadian Space Agency is a great example. My tasks on this project were to design and assemble the pieces of a lunar rover and ensure that the requirements of the center of mass were met while meeting the size requirements and considering the position of components.An additional challenge on the lunar rover project was working with a team of fifteen people. I used communication and organization skills to ensure the success of our project and excellent teamwork skills to meet our project goals. I was happy to share my knowledge of Catia v5 with my teammates so we could all be successful.My experience taught me that teamwork is one of the best ways to meet goals and find unique solutions. People say that I am a reliable and cheerful person with whom it is always pleasant to work.
