I was instrumental in the setting up of the UK registered charity Young Active Minds (charity reg. no: 11•••45) & acting as ambassador and now trustee, to inspire new, fun & effective learning activities using his memory techniques. This also helped the promotion of education & mental health throughout all schools & community groups, irrespective of current attainment levels or cultural diversity.I worked with the team of charity trustees and was instrumental in the creation of workshops and training courses to help teach memory techniques to other children and young people, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds or currently in alternative learning provision.The charity’s mission is to advance education & mental health awareness throughout all community groups by the promotion of enhanced learning methods and the provision of services and specialist memory training to support the development of all individuals’ capabilities, competencies, understanding and skills through school, leisure time and community activities, irrespective of financial background, current attainment levels or cultural diversity.I was directly involved in the UK Charity Commission application by helping to draft the documentation & compiling supportive evidence for approval by the regulatory body.I have been developing my advanced memory techniques for use by Young Active Minds for just over 2 years and showed the effectiveness of these techniques by achieving 5 Guinness World Records for world memory challenges and becoming the UK’s youngest person with the most world records.I launched Young Active Minds during the 75th anniversary of the creation of the United Nations and directly helped to align the charity to support the UN Sustainable Development Goals, specifically SDG4: to ensure equitable and quality education for all.I signed up the charity as a member of The UN Major Group for Children and Youth, the UN General Assembly-mandated mechanism for young people.
