AI-Exploration is revolutionising the Gas & Oil and the Carbon Capture and Storage industries using their unique sensors. I started working with them to help them build one of their most anticipated products and bring it to market. So far I managed to achieve not too little, not too much. To start with, I invented a completely new UI interface navigation method, which will allow the device to be quickly configured when the environmental conditions are far from ideal, say-40 to 85C? The approach is currently in the process of being trademarked and patented, so that is as far as I can tell you:) Next, I had to fully design the whole graphical UI interface on Figma to allow the users to configure the device, which all had to work on a circular display (not the easiest thing to do when you want to make the device do so much!) and be compatible with my new UI navigation invention. This then followed by me desinging and implementing an ALS (Ambient Light Sensor) system, which will ensure that the display isn\'t blasting nits when you don\'t want it to be. To make the matters more fun, it was implemented using flexible PCB, which allowed to easily stack the PCBs we got on top of each other - yep, like a sandwich! Finally testing, I established a test procedure for the display to be used within the product and performed outdoors brightness and temperature swing tests. I literally placed the device inside a massive fridge and. Oh and I also Developed a longevity test setup on a Raspberry Pi, to allow testing one of the key parts, used within the device, longevity.

ABOUT MONTVYDAS KLUMBYS
Hi, my name is Montvydas, but because the majority of people can\'t pronounce it, call me Monty. I like to invent things, sometimes even risking my life. I do Software and Electronics Engineering so to say. You may know me from my previous work experience in pyrotechnics (EasyPyro). Although I only designed the software to make those silly firework shows you see on the last day of Edinburgh Fringe Festival. My not-so-famous jobs include working for tech giants like Cirrus Logic and ARM (where, by the way, I broke my LEG). I had the chance to improve their tools and automation systems and to fix their bugs of course :) I do like to improvise and thus once ended up working for a company that designs solutions to not only track you on the internet, but also indoors (Sensewhere):) Not to mention that I did my part designing software to read those lateral test cassettes (NovarumDX)- yep, the same ones used to test for pregnancy, well, COVID too! So yeah, I can code, however on some other days I like to participate in hackathons, where my luck seems to never let me down, so I just keep participating :) Oh, and I also graduated from the University of Edinburgh with First Class Honours in MEng Electronics and Electrical Engineering, but that simply was like a day in waterpark - many ups and downs and with a very likely chance of getting wet, just this time from the rain, which we had plenty back in Scotland! For a brief period of one year I managed to get away from the rain and moved to Valencia. In 3 months I learnt pretty fluent Spanish (I guess everything is possible when you try hard enough?) but then I involved myself into smart ring business. This is not \"just any other of those useless gadgets\", this one is meant to track your emotions and help to improve your mental well-being! How do we do that? Well, if I told you I would have to ki. Ok, I wouldn\'t actually, we simply use loads of clever sensors all placed in a tiny tiny device, all while being powered by just as tiny battery! To be honest, by now, I have a sort of a mega lab at home full of tools for electronics, soldering, silicone moulding, ah of course a 3D printer, two of them in fact! Well, I hope you get it :) I usually hang out in Edinburgh, however I tend to also stay in Lithuania due to all kinds of unpredicted reasons (kche kche, coronavirus). Yet I would still like to know what else is out there in the that big big world!
