   The Villa Dolce story begins with family and a passion for tradition. As brothers growing up in Rome, Monte, Giancarlo and Gianandrea spent their summers on the Adriatic coast enjoying the daily ritual of gelato. After attending high school and college in America, they returned to Europe to play professional basketball. It was there that they recognized the opportunity to bring the experience of authentic Italian gelato to the States, to recreate a product responsible for so many sweet memories. Combining a commitment to quality and authenticity with a strong entrepreneurial and creative spirit, Villa Dolce opened their doors in 2001 servicing top tier restaurants and hotels in the Los Angeles area. In 2013, Villa Dolce purchased a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Phoenix, Arizona, enabling expansion of their national foodservice distribution. Villa Dolce can now be enjoyed in over 25 states and thousands of restaurants. Villa Dolce’s commitment to replicating a true taste of Italy is evident in their authentic Italian recipes, artisan processes and use of only the finest natural ingredients.
