Responsible for building and leading the Foundation in fulfilling its mission to foster creative expression in the visual arts for all ages and abilities through robust programming. The Executive Director must cultivate, build, and maintain strong, authentic relationships with various partners and community leaders, including donors, nonprofit executives, schools, and universities. The Executive Director will be responsible for developing the annual operating plan, including the development and execution of annual budgets, roadmap and infrastructure, fundraising goals, programs, and initiatives.• Develop a strategic vision for the foundation.• Work collaboratively with key internal and external stakeholders to develop the foundation’s goals, mission, and governance. • Oversee budgeting, annual financial audits, tax filings, and maintenance of correct and complete records as required.• Identify, design and implement programs.• Create a fundraising strategy that meets budgeted goals and sets the stage for future expanded fundraising.• Strengthen relations with key stakeholders and strategic partners in the community.• Create a collegial work environment that seeks healthy, sustainable growth with a commitment to transparency, trust, and collaboration across the organization.• Oversee the production of effective donor communications including written proposals, newsletters, direct mail pieces, etc.• Build relationships with key stakeholders and influential leaders within education or nonprofit spaces.• Maintain a visible profile for the Foundation in the community by participating in events, seminars, and conferences.
