ABOUT CHRISTOPHER MONK
I\'m a values-led Talent Acquisition Partner who gets a kick out of partnering with growth focused businesses, solving critical hiring challenges. I’ve been fortunate to craft a diverse career that spans across both the UK and Australia. Currently a Senior Talent Partner at Canva, where I support GTM expansion across EMEA and North America. My work centres on first-in-region and first-in-function hiring, supporting on roles that directly enable revenue growth, internationalisation and organisational scale.I built a Talent Acquisition capability from the ground up at The Collecting Group, implementing strategy, ATS infrastructure and data-led hiring processes that reduced agency spend by 93% and reduced cost-per-hire by 56%. I’m particularly interested in: • GTM and Engineering hiring • International expansion (EMEA) • Start-ups, PE-backed transformation, and IPO readiness • Building talent infrastructure from zero • Moving recruitment from reporting to insightI operate best at the intersection of strategy and execution, where I’m comfortable partnering with executives on workforce planning whilst remaining hands-on with delivery, with a passion for delivering an awesome candidate experience.I\'ve been lucky enough to weave a lot of travel throughout my career journey from Europe, Asia, South America and Australia, experiencing many different cultures and perspectives, gaining a huge appreciation for diversity. Outside of work, I\'m a self-confessed car-nerd (I\'m always keen to talk automotive culture), a keen cyclist and have recently ventured down the path of trying to master a great home poured coffee!
